Bilateral Relations

General Information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Italian Republic were established on 17 March 1992.

According to the decree of the President of the RA Armen Sarkissian, dated on June 3, 2020 Tsovinar Hambardzumian was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in the Italian Republic.

On May 18, 2021, Alfonso Di Rizzo was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to the Republic of Armenia.

On 14 September 2019 Gagik Sarukhanyan was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Veneto (residence in Venice).

On 26 October 2006, Pietro Kuciukian was appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia in Italy (residence in Milan).
