ROME. RECEPTION DEDICATED TO THE 25° ANNIVERSARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

On October 21st at Palazzo Ferrajoli of Rome a reception dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Italy.

Members of the Italian parliament and government, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Rome, political and cultural figures, religious leaders and local authorities, businessmen and representatives of the Armenian community of Rome as well as the Media were present at the event.

In her welcoming speech the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Italy H.E. Ms. Victoria Bagdassarian referred to the historical path of the Armenian people, the centuries-old relations between Armenia and Italy and to the role of the Armenian community in Italy. Ambassador spoke about the achievements of the 25 years of Independence, the reforms implemented, the progress registered in the Armenian-Italian relations, the accomplishments and challenges of the Armenian foreign policy.

In her remarks the Ambassador underlined that as a responsible and active member of the international community, and as a stable and developing country, Armenia will continue to contribute to the strengthening of peace in the region.
