ARMENIA PARTICIPATED IN FRANCOPHONE FILM FESTIVAL HELD IN ROME

This year Armenia for the first time participated in the 8th Festival of Francophone Film in Rome presenting the film "Moskvitch, My Love" (directed) by Aram Shahbazyan.

The screening of the film was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

On March 16 during the event at the “Institut Français –Centre Saint-Louis” in Rome the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Victoria Bagdassarian and the Director of the Institute Olivier Jacquot delivered their welcoming speech.

In his speech Olivier Jacquot expressed his satisfaction regarding the first participation of Armenia in the Festival and wished that it would be continuous.

In her remarks Ambassador Bagdassarian highly appreciated the role of the International Organization of La Francophonie in the promotion of the intercultural dialogue and in strengthening univesal values. She informed also that the Summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie will be held in Armenia in 2018.

Ambassador also spoke about the film presented by Armenia describing it as a collision of human dreams and reality and that of the past and present.
