The Deputy Foreign Minister of the RA received the Honorary Consul of the Italian Republic

On December 2, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia received Antonino Montalto, Honorary Consul of the Italian Republic in Gyumri on the occasion of the completion of his mission․ The Deputy Minister handed over the “Order of Friendship” to the Honorary Consul awarded by the President of the Republic of Armenia for his significant contribution to the strengthening and development of Armenian-Italian friendly ties.

In his speech, the Deputy Minister emphasized that Antonino Montalto's selfless dedication to Armenia is highly appreciated, starting from the devastating earthquake in Spitak in 1988 until now, including various humanitarian programs, large-scale activities in the healthcare sphere, cultural activities, among which protection and restoration of urban buildings of historic-cultural heritage, engagement in tourism sector. The operation of Gyumri ceramic school established by him was also highlighted.

Alfonso Di Riso, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia was also present at the meeting.
